K Mae Formals established in 2004. As homecoming queen for her high school Kristina Mae's parents purchased one of her first "brand new" formal dresses for $200.00. Money was tight already in her family, but to see their daughter shine seemed more important. After graduating high school Kristina had no use for all the dresses that she had. She decided to hang on to the dresses, for some of her friends still in high school.

During that year Kristina was working for a local convention center. While working she heard about a radio station putting on a prom for some lower income schools. That evening she saw young women and men walking into the dance hall with jeans and t-shirts on. Kristina sympathized for this group of teenagers. Kristina's created a plan to collect tons of formal dresses and to rent out to all women at a very discounted price, so they could feel the beauty in a dress too.

After a couple years Kristina was able to collect many dresses from people who supported her ministry. She also went to local shops and used her own money to buy a number of dresses. As her dress collection was growing in numbers, her variety of dresses was also growing. People started donating their homecoming, prom, bridesmaids, and even mother of the bride dresses. Kristina also started to collect wedding dresses for any woman that could not afford a wedding dress for their special day!

Now at K Mae Formals Kristina has collect about 200 formal dresses. She has dreams to have an open door policy for her store someday. For any woman to walk in the door and try on all the dresses, feeling like the princess God has created them to be!
